About me

I’m an illustrator based in Cardiff, UK. I work from my studio at The Printhaus Workshops being part of an amazing community of artist, printmakers and craftspeople.

I have a degree in Biology and it is where I find my inspiration for my illustrations of animals, leaves, flowers and landscapes. After finishing my degree I studied Fashion Design in Madrid where I learnt basic illustration but I consider myself a ‘self-taught’ artist with no influential artist mentors who helped shape my vision.

I am a multi-disciplinary designer, skilled in multiple design software because I have worked as a Designer and Creative Director for big companies like Atos or Oxford University Press for many years, but I use very manual and traditional techniques using brush, ink and oil paint for my illustrations and prints.

I moved from a very busy city, Madrid, to a peaceful one, Cardiff six years ago. Today I live near the sea, green landscapes and warm people. I love Wales and I am learning Welsh language to be able to read a non-translated version of “The Mabinogion”.

I’m member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCWBI). I am currently working on my first author-illustrated picture book.
